DROVE ORCHARDS FARM SHOP

At Drove Orchards we are proud of our local heritage and traditions: we grow what we are able to grow best given our climate, our location and most importantly, our soil.
We don’t just grow apples on the farm, we grow a variety of strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, plums and pears. Black, red and white currants, jostaberries and damsons. These are available to buy through our farm shop or you can pick your own, subject to season. We also grow a large selection of seasonal vegetables which also can be bought through our farm shop.

We are on quite a heavy loam; some things, such as blue berries or asparagus, like a sandy soil so we get these from nearby local growers as, quite honestly, they do a better job than we do! In fact, we try to offer the best in local produce that we can find, from small producers and organic farms within the local area.

Amongst the top quality foods are; organic meats from Courtyard Farms, Ringstead. This range is complimented by a wide variety of fresh and pre cooked meats from Tavern Tasty of Holt. The majority of their products are of rare breeds which have earned them a number of gold awards for their outstanding meats and pies.

We offer many varieties of local cheeses including the very popular “Mrs. Temples” Binham Blue. To accompany our range, we stock a large variety of pickles and chutneys, with something to satisfy even the most discerning of palettes.

Our aim at the shop is to support mainly local producers and suppliers. A recent introduction has been Thistle Soups, a small independent producer of some of the tastiest soups you’ll ever enjoy. They grow a lot of their own vegetables in producing an exciting range of soups and pasta sauces.

During the hot summer months, we stock a comprehensive range of BBQ fuels, then for the winter, seasoned logs for the cooler nights.

This year we will be introducing more game to satisfy the increasing demand. Local pheasant, partridge and mallard will be available fresh and frozen.

Also available at weekends is our local fish monger, Rod. He carries a wide selection of fresh wet fish, dressed Cromer crabs and lots of other seafood varieties.

We pride ourselves in listening to our customer’s requirements and will do our utmost to source anything for that special occasion. If it’s grown locally, we can normally get it PDQ. Miracles take a little longer!
